Craig Armstrong - Moulin Rouge (Promo Release) 2001
Moulin Rouge proved to be one of Craig Armstrong's most high profile scoring projects to date. This film marked the second time Armstrong has worked with Romeo + Juliet director Baz Lurhmann. Armstrong co-produced and provided new arrangements of classic songs such as 'Your Song' and 'Nature Boy', as well as scoring music to accompany the romantic element of the storyline.
Some of the most beautiful music written by Armstrong is featured during the death scene at the end of the film. It's such a somber heart wrenching piece of music, which concludes with the introduction of Armstrong's arrangement of Nature Boy.
BAFTA awarded Craig Armstrong with The Anthony Asquith Award for Achievement in Film Music for his work on Moulin Rouge.
